CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTS FOR ADDRESSING DIGITALIZATION ISSUES AND CLIMATE CHANGE IN VEGETABLES/ GREENHOUSES AND FRUIT PLANTATIONS (STRAWBERRY/RASPBERRY)
About the project: The organization “Initiative for Agriculture Development in Kosovo (IADK)” is implementing a three-year project “Improving Employment and Income Generation Opportunities in Rural Areas of Kosovo”, supported by “Bread for the World” and co-funded by partner municipalities. As part of this project, during 2025, IADK will support farmers in the horticulture sector (vegetables & fruits) through grants and training, promoting digitalization and addressing climate change in agriculture.
Who can apply?
Farmers from the municipalities of: Vushtrri, Mitrovica, Skenderaj, Drenas, Podujeva and Suhareka who are engaged in the cultivation of vegetables in greenhouses and fruits (strawberry & raspberry).
Key application requirements:
✔ The farmer must be from one of the aforementioned municipalities.
✔ He/she must manage the daily activities of the farm.
✔ He/she must have the necessary infrastructure and resources to implement the project.
✔ He/she should have not received similar grants in the last 3 years.
Financial support:
IADK covers up to 600 Euro of eligible costs, while any amount above this value will be co-funded by the farmer.
Costs eligible for funding include:
Digitalization of activities in greenhouses (smart irrigation systems, automatic motors for windows, etc.)
Addressing climate change in greenhouses (shade nets, water reservoirs, etc.)
Addressing climate change in fruit plantations (light greenhouses for strawberries, shade nets for raspberries, etc.)
