Call for citizens’ participation in public consultations in the preparation of the National Strategy for Community Safety 2025-2029!

The Ministry of Internal Affairs invites citizens, civil society organizations and all stakeholders to participate in public consultations on the draft of the National Strategy for Community Safety for the period 2025-2029.

The new Strategy aims to strengthen the roles of local authorities and local security forums in identifying and addressing security challenges in communities. The emphasis is on including all communities without distinction,  to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all citizens.

The Strategy and Action Plan are available on the official Public Consultation Platform of the Office for Good Governance at the following link: https://konsultimet.rks-gov.net/viewConsult.php?ConsultationID=42807.

GRANTS FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS:

NOTIFICATION: Grants for NGOs through the EU Civil Society Facility and Media Program in Kosovo 2024-2025!

The European Union Office in Kosovo has announced a Call for Project Proposals within the EU Civil Society Facility and Media Program in Kosovo for the period 2024-2025. This program aims to strengthen democracy, social cohesion, and the EU integration process in Kosovo through improved Civil Society participation in the implementation of the Western Balkans Green Agenda.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH:

NOTIFICATION: Open call for young photographers – “Your lens, your story, our Europe”!

The EU supported WEBALKANS.EU portal invites all young photographers, aged 18 to 29, to apply for the Contest to showcase the power of sports in initiating positive changes in the Western Balkans in Europe through photography.

All interested candidates from the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia) have the right to participate.  The jury will select 18 winning photos – 3 from each Western Balkans country. Later, these photos will be exhibited in a traveling exhibition through six regional cities. During the tour of the exhibition, the public will have the opportunity to vote for their six favorite photos on webalkans.eu website. The six finalists, chosen by the public, will win a trip to the Ljubljana Sports Festival!!

In order to apply, you need to:

• Photos must be in high resolution (more than 12 megapixels), in high resolution JPEG format, up to 10 MB in size;
• Each application must contain the following: participant’s full name, Western Balkan country of origin, contact information, photo title, and a short description (max. 500 characters without spaces);

• The working language of the Contest is English;
• Each participant can send a maximum of 2 photos of their own work.

NOTIFICATION: Call for apprenticeship in local institutions and civil society organizations!

The NGO Democracy plus (D+) in partnership with OSCE Mission invites interested young people aged 20-24 to apply for the apprenticeship. The Program will enable nine positions in local self-governments / NGOs to encourage active participation of youth in decision-making processes and the creation of practical policies through direct engagement.

Benefits for apprentices are:

• Practical experience in the work of local institutions / organizations
• Skills and knowledge in the area of public administration
• Contribution in improving the youth participation in decision-making
• Financial support of EUR 142.5 (gross) per person/month to cover travel expenses.
