Call for young female activists and artists to participate!

📢 Barabar Community Network invites all socially engaged women activists and artists throughout Kosovo to apply for membership in the newly founded Barabar Community Network (BGN).

This BGN network will consist of at least 10 selected socially engaged women activists and artists, and at least 15 selected civil society organizations (CSO’s), and will serve as a platform for mutual exchange, capacity building, local actions and participation in policy making.

Project BIG – Barabar (goes to) Community Initiative is a two-year EU-funded initiative, implemented by Integra and CASA. The project objective is the promotion of social inclusion, civic engagement and inter-ethnic cohesion in Kosovo through the strategic use of art and culture.

📌 What do BGN members get?

• Participation in a comprehensive capacity building program (3 thematic trainings on arts and culture for social change, inclusion and fundraising);
• The right to apply for small grants for the implementation of local initiatives (total fund: EUR 40,000);
• Participation in the joint policy creation through two “Practical Policy Hackathons” with institutional stakeholders;
• The possibility of participating in central and local events dealing with the development of inclusive cultural policies.

📌Who can apply?

• Socially engaged women activists and artists who live and work in Kosovo;
• Women activists and artists with experience in the field of social inclusion, civic activism or artistic work in the community;
• Applications from women belonging to non-majority and marginalized communities and groups are particularly encouraged.

📅 Key dates:

• Application period: May – June 2025.
• Training period: August – October 2025.
• Sub-grants awarding phase and implementation of initiatives: November 2025 – June 2026.
• Practical policy Hackatons and advocating: July-December 2026.
