The Office of Community Affairs, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), organized the first regional outreach session in Priština/Prishtinë and presented the Office’s Platform. The Platform of the Office of Community Affairs is a product of the project “Supporting institutions and communities in the creation of an inclusive society” which is implemented by the IOM and supported by the Swiss and British Embassies in Kosovo. The outreach session was organized on July 30, 2024, at Garden Hotel, and was attended by about fifty representatives of local institutions and non-governmental sector from the Priština/Prishtinë region (Priština/Prishtinë, Kosovo Polje/Fushë Kosova, Obilić/Obiliç, Gračanica/Graçanicë, Podujevo/Podujeva, Lipljan/Lipjan and Štimlje/Shtime). During the discussion about the information available on the Platform, the participants gave their recommendations and shared their impressions, which are of great importance for the further work of the Platform and increasing communication and cooperation with non-majority communities in achieving the objective of creating an inclusive society.
Outreach sessions will also be organized in Peć/Peja, Prizren, Mitrovica/Mitrovicë and Gnjilan/Gjilan regions, meanwhile, citizens as well as the non-governmental sector are encouraged to use the Platform, register on the Platform and use its services.
