Support for Farmers and Enterprises in Rural Areas
Open Call for Support to the Rural Economy in Kosovo!
As part of the partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of the Republic of Kosovo and with the support of the German Government, GIZ Kosovo has launched the Grant Scheme for Rural Economic Development.
This scheme aims to encourage the diversification of economic activities in rural areas and offers support opportunities for individuals and enterprises seeking to develop or expand their activities:
🔹 LOT 1: Grants from €1,500 to €5,000 for farmers, members of agricultural household economies, individuals, start-ups, and micro and small enterprises
🔹 LOT 2: Grants from €5,001 to €50,000 for farmers and micro, small, and medium enterprises
Deadline for application: 22 September 2025

NOTICE FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS
Application for the Financial Management Academy in Kosovo
SMART Balkans presents the Financial Management Academy for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). This is an innovative and free training program designed to strengthen financial management, increase transparency, and support the long-term sustainability of CSOs in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
The program will take place during the period September–November 2025, in local languages.
The application deadline is 15 August 2025, at 16:00.
The number of participants is limited to 20 per country. The program is completely free of charge.
Costs will be covered by the SMART Balkans project (travel expenses for applicants coming from other cities, accommodation if needed for those from more remote areas, meals during training hours, and educational materials).
Spots are limited, so early registrations will be prioritized in the confirmation process.

Open Call for Grants from the SEECheck Network
Second Call for Project Proposals: Promotion of Media and Information Literacy
The Second Call for Project Proposals is now open under the regional project “SEECheck Network – Combating Disinformation through a Network of Fact-Checkers,” implemented by the SEECheck network in partnership with Faktoje (Albania) and Open Data Kosovo, with the support of the European Commission.
The aim of this sub-granting scheme is to:
- Strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) and local media
- Improve the integrity of media reporting
- Increase community resilience to disinformation
Number of grants: 10
Total amount: 103,500 EUR
Project duration: 3 to 6 months
Grant amount: 5,000 – 12,000 EUR
LOT 1 – or local media seeking to strengthen their capacities in fact-checking and producing reliable content.
LOT 2 – for CSOs aiming to undertake activities in media education, countering disinformation, and raising public awareness.

Small Grants for Projects
The call aims to support individuals, unregistered initiatives, and non-governmental organizations presenting innovative ideas with tangible community impact. Small grants are intended for measurable results within a short period and support specific actions addressing local issues, whether systemic in nature or limited in time and scope.
Focus: Local, targeted, and short-term projects
Beneficiary: Individuals, unregistered initiatives, and NGOs
Conditions: The project must be implemented in the applicant’s respective locality
TIMEFRAME AND BUDGET – Applicants may apply for support for a period of up to 12 months. The maximum budget for a grant requested under this call must not exceed EUR 10,000 (including audit costs).

Kosovar Gender Studies Center
The Kosovar Gender Studies Center (KGSC) announces a Call for Proposals for the implementation of situation testing with the aim of identifying and documenting gender-based discrimination in the labor market in Kosovo.
We invite experts with proven experience in the fields of human rights, gender equality, feminist research, and/or anti-discrimination work to submit their proposals.
The selected expert will be responsible for designing and implementing evidence-based testing scenarios to identify discriminatory practices in the labor market, in accordance with the defined methodology.
