GRANTS FOR CITIZENS AND NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS/BUSINESSES:

The Australian Embassy in Zagreb invites all eligible entities to apply for funding through the Direct Assistance Program (DAP) 2024-25 for the Republic of Kosovo. The Direct Assistance Program is a flexible small grants program funded by the Australian Government and administered through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) abroad. The program aims to support projects with a strong focus on development that complement Australia’s wider aid program, contribute to sustainable economic growth and lead to poverty reduction. The DAP supports projects that provide direct benefits to those who need it most in the local community, including vulnerable or disadvantaged groups, women, children and youth, and people with disabilities.

Projects can cover any sector, but must aim to alleviate basic humanitarian difficulties, have a developmental outcome and be implemented in a relatively short period of time.

In 2024-25, priority will be given to projects that achieve practical and tangible results in projects which:

• promote human rights and freedom of expression and good governance;

• promote gender equality and women’s empowerment as drivers of economic growth;
