The Office for Community Affairs supported the Roma community this year and, together with Roma representatives, celebrated the National Roma Day. On April 4, 2024, the celebration was held at Hotel Nafron and was attended by around 400 guests, including the Minister for Communities and Return, Nenad Rasic, as well as representatives of local and international organizations.
During his speech, deputy minister Erxhan Galushi highlighted all the opportunities the government has created for the Roma community, as well as all the results he has achieved since the beginning of his mandate. Also, speech was delivered by the Rector of the University of Prizren, Mentor Alishani, as well as representatives of the American Embassy and Turkish Consulate in Prizren, who provided support to the Roma community.
In cooperation with the organization Concordia from Prizren, the musical talent of Roma was presented during the celebration.
