The Kosovo Cadaster Agency (KCA) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), i.e. the Civil Registry Agency, have called for all citizens to register or verify their residential address on October 28, 2024. This obligation applies to all citizens of Kosovo, and as of August 1 this year, it is a basic condition for using various public services via the e-Kosova platform, as well as in municipal institutions.
According to KCA website, more than 480,000 citizens have already registered their addresses by the end of August 2025, while the registration process is still ongoing.
The address registration or verification can be done in two ways:
- Through the e-Kosova platform – citizens log in to their account, select the “Address” section and fill in the required data.
- Directly at municipal office – citizens can contact Civil Registry or Cadaster Officers, where they will be provided with assistance in the registration process.
The address registration or verification will enable:
- unhindered access to registry documents (extracts, certificates and confirmations) via e-Kosovo or in person at Municipal Registry Offices,
- better organization of local and state public services,
- more efficient access to health, education and postal services,
- up-to-date citizens residence records.
