The fourth round table, organized within the program of the Office for Community Affairs was with the Croatian community. This meeting was held on November 21, 2023, attended by representatives of the Croatian community, Her Excellency, the Ambassador of the Croatian Embassy in Kosovo, Danijela Barishić, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Rexhepi.
The topic of the conversation was the Government’s cooperation with the community and a deeper understanding of its needs. There was also talk about the Government’s engagement with the community during the year, as well as the help given to the citizens of Janjevo, selected by the commission for grants. The Office of Community Affairs and Government work to fully implement the Language Use Act so that non-majority communities have access to government communications.
The representatives of the Croatian community thanked the Prime Minister for the opportunity to discuss their challenges and opportunities for cooperation. They emphasized the need for infrastructural support in Janjevë. Prime Minister Kurti expressed his willingness to work to ensure the best possible conditions for the Croatian community in Kosovo.
