Round table organized with the Goran community!

As part of its program, the Office for Community Affairs organized a round table with the Goran community on April 19, 2023, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rasic, as well as the Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Enes Gorani. Civil society representatives, employees within state institutions, both central and local, also participated in the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to learn about the problems faced by the Goran community, what services the government offers to help this community and the continuation of cooperation in the future. Prime Minister Kurti familiarized the attendees with the Government’s activities in the direction of the Goran community. It was also talked about the program of the Office for Communities, the distribution of 500 thousand euros for NGOs and the media, with funds reserved for all communities, as well as about the recent profit of the Goran community from the Ministry of Communities and Return in connection with the construction of houses.

The Prime Minister referred to the work of the Government in relation to the Commission for the verification of diplomas issued by the Pristina University in North Mitrovica, as well as the creation of the unit for translation and harmonization within the Office of the Prime Minister.

The participants shared their concerns about the employment of members from their community within the institutions, while the Prime Minister shared with them the Government’s plans for solving this issue.
