The Office for Community Affairs organized a round table with the Montenegrin community on December 18, 2023, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Rexhepi, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Llazar Raduloviqi and Denis Iviqi from the Consultative Council for Communities in the Presidency, together with the ambassador of Montenegro in Kosovo, Bernard Çobaj.
During this meeting, it was discussed about the support for the non-majority community this year, including the additional grants of 3 million euros allocated by the Ministry for Communities and Returns, from which Montenegrin NGOs have also benefited, as well as about the positive changes in the implementation of the Law on The use of languages and the development of roads connecting the state of Kosovo with Montenegro – between Deçan and Plava and between Peja and Rozhaja.
Participants appreciated the opportunity to discuss these issues and work together to face common challenges.
