The Association of Montenegrins “Perper” and “Lovćen”, with the support of the Prime Minister’s Office for Community Affairs organized a cocktail party at the Sirius Hotel on May 27 on the occasion of Montenegrin Independence Day.
This ceremony began with the singing of the anthems of Montenegro and Kosovo, then the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the representative of Montenegrins in Kosovo, Lazar Radulovic, addressed the guests with a welcome speech, and after him the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, addressed the audience. The Director of the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora, Erduan Demic, also spoke.
The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Communities, Emilija Redzepi, Minister for Communities Return, Nenad Rasic, Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Kosovo, Gazmend Abrasi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Montenegrin Embassy, Fedisa Dacic, Mayor of the Municipality of Pec, Gazmend Muhadzeri, Deputy Ministers, as well as and representatives of international organizations in Kosovo.
The celebration sent a clear message that the Montenegrin community is firmly committed to even stronger and better good-neighborly relations between the two countries, and that the Montenegrin community must be more represented in the institutions of Kosovo in order to strengthen economically.
